Jay-Z had a not-so-kind word with Chris Brown after one of his New York shows and threatened to “finish him” if he ever hurt Rihanna again.
Rihanna’s mentor and big brother figure invited Brown to one of his New York shows at Barclay’s and made sure that the youngster didn’t leave his presence without realizing he was on thin ice.
“He invited them as a couple to his concert in New York and backstage he called Chris to one side and told him if he hurts Rihanna, whether emotionally or physically, it’s over for him,” one source told the Sun.
Last week Beyonce’s husband was quoted by another source saying that the “Yeah” singer was “dead” to him, but it seems as if he is willing to give him another chance just for Rihanna’s sake.
“Jay-Z told Rihanna that if Chris is truly making her happy then to go for it,” the anonymous source added.
The hip hop icon also instilled a bit of fear in the 23-year-old singer/rapper warning him that if he steps out of line “he’ll ensure it will result in the end of his career.”
Once you take a look at how much power the New York native has in the rap game, his threat just might be the thing to straighten Rihanna’s ex out – but if it doesn’t Brown’s career might hit rock bottom.
The “Empire State” rapper’s threat came just in time too as it has been revealed that once the Bajan beauty’s album drops in November the controversial couple plans to go public with their relationship.
Recently the pair hasn’t been seen together other than some late night rendezvous, but in November they plan to be seen together the right way.
Instead of photos of one another sneaking away in the middle of the night, Jay-Z’s mentee and Karrueche’s ex plan on being photographed together on red carpets and other events without any shame in their love for one another.
For now, however, it’s important that the “Where Have You Been” songstress stays focused on her work.
“She hitting the studio real hard these days, but [talks] to Chris every step of the way,” a source close to Rihanna told HollywoodLife.com. “As soon as she finishes up with this album, they will be out. She gotta focus and get that album together and stay paid.”
Both R&B singers are well aware of all the negative backlash they might receive but considering the lyrics of Chris’s single “Don’t Judge Me” and RiRi’s new album titled “Unapologetic” it’s pretty obvious that they won’t be swayed by public opinion.
The source also reported that the “Don’t Wake Me Up” crooner also has ceased all communication with ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, but he doesn’t mean any harm.
“Ain’t no shade though, he just wants to be done with it and I know Rihanna does too,” the source added. “It’s best for everybody, even Karrueche. The last thing he wants to do is get her caught up again.”
In addition to staying focused on her upcoming album, the Battleship actress has also been working the cover of several magazines and ads.
Her latest sexy cover has her red hot, but more covered up than usual on the cover of Vogue.
The November issue of Vogue features the sexy songstress on her knees in a strapless red dress and a bright red lip to go with it.
She appears to be in the middle of some field with brown weeds and dry grass around her.
The cover plays on the singer’s more high fashion edgy side instead of her usual sex appeal.
This will be her second Vogue cover in the U.S and staff members for the popular mag are suggesting that it certainly won’t be her last.
She spiced up the cover of the U.S Vogue back in April of 2011, hopped onto the cover of the U.K Vogue that same year in November, and even covered Vogue Italia earlier in her career in September of 2009.
With the Unapologetic album only weeks away from being released, the “We Found Love” crooner is sure to go on a magazine cover rampage for the next couple of weeks.
